UK & US Prime Day Alternatives: Rival Sales & Deals
Amazon Prime Day 2022 arrives July 12-13. Prime Day offers thousands of exclusive discounts site-wide. Of course, to get Prime Day discount, you need a Prime membership. The servicecosts £7.99 / US$14.99 per month (or £79/$139 for the year).

But if you don’t want to commit to a subscription, or can’t stand the idea of making Jeff Bezos even richer, the good news is that there are plenty of other retailers participating in massive summer sales in both the UK and US.

US Prime Day Alternatives
Walmart (US)
There’s no announcement from Walmart yet, but we expect the retailer to have competitive sales around the same time as Prime Day. Usually, the Walmart sale lasts a day longer than Amazon’s.
Best Buy (US)
Last year, Best Buy’s Bigger Deal event started on June 15 and lasted through June 22, coinciding with the end of Prime Day and we’d expect a similar overlap with Amazon sales this year. You’ll find deals on all kinds of technology, including TVs, laptops, tablets, phones, Apple devices, and more.
Target (US) – ‘Deal Days’
Target has announced its Deal Days event. It starts on July 11, a day before Prime Day. Target hasn’t announced any specific deals yet, but we do know the potential savings in several product areas:
- Up to 50% off technology
- $70 off Apple products
- Up to 40% discount on kitchen appliances
- Up to 35% discount on floor care products
