After a successful year of Scottish Student Judo, where the number of participants has returned to and in some cases exceeded pre-pandemic levels, we are looking for people who are passionate about developing the sport, increasing participation and delivering competitions.

SS Judo Vice-President

As Vice-President, you will support the Chair and Development Group’s efforts to provide an exciting competitive structure and increase participation, while helping to promote the development of the sport and its relationship with Student Clubs and Judo Scotland.

The role is tasked with supporting the organization and delivery of both student judo events, working closely with the SS Judo Chair and other key partners. Experience in organizing judo events and managing volunteers is desirable (but not necessary).

SS Judo Communication Officer

As a communications officer, you are responsible for organizing and guiding the development group’s efforts to publicize itself, the sport and student activities.

The role is tasked with increasing social media presence and engagement; ensure regular communication between the Development Group and clubs; supporting the promotion of club activities through the SS Judo channels; expanding the library of SS Judo media of competitions and events; working together with the SSS Communication Coordinator on the general promotion of judo.

SS Judo Student Representative

This role will have a major focus on working with existing clubs to increase participation and support the sustainability of the club. Anchoring the welfare agenda in student judo is also a goal of the development group that could support this person.

SS Judo Personnel Representative

The staff representative will support the group by being a voice for officials and volunteers by supporting and developing the judo staff. You will work with the President to communicate with sororities, help promote further training opportunities and gather feedback as needed.
