PhD International Scholarships in Cyber ​​Security and Law at Erasmus University Rotterdam, Netherlands is open to international students. With this grant, young researchers can conduct research in the fields of law, criminology, engineering and cybersecurity at Erasmus University Rotterdam.

What are the benefits of a scholarship?

Successfully selected Ph.D. candidates at Erasmus University receive 2,443 euros in the first year for a full-time position of 38 hours a week. While in the fourth year it will increase annually to 3,122 euros per month.

What are eligibility criteria?

An applicant must meet the eligibility criteria for PhD Scholarship. The applicant must be able to meet the conditions for obtaining a Dutch visa (if applicable).

The candidates must have a master’s degree in law, criminology or any other discipline relevant to the Ph.D. position. While a background in Law & Economics would be an added advantage.

Applicant can demonstrate relevant scientific research skills, for example through academic publications or through the quality of his/her master’s thesis.

In addition, the candidate can preferably demonstrate knowledge of law and economics, behavioral sciences and/or (technical) governance issues related to cybersecurity.

While, candidates must have excellent oral and written skills in English.

Current Master’s students who complete their Master’s degree before the intended start date can apply. Please note that proof of a master’s degree is a formal requirement for employment.

In addition to the requested research proposal, the applicant is requested to submit a motivation letter, CV and proof of a master’s degree.

While Applications that are incomplete, do not follow the application format and/or do not address the specific Ph.D. project are not taken into account.
