NOW OPEN: African Union (Pan African University) Masters & PhD Scholarships 2022 for African Students

Young, qualified, talented and enterprising applicants from African countries and the African diaspora are invited to apply for scholarships to participate in Masters or PhD degree programs at any of the following four PAU Institutes listed below.

About the Award: The Pan African University is an initiative of the African Union Heads of State and Government. It is a premier continental university network whose mission is to provide quality postgraduate education aimed at achieving a prosperous, integrated and peaceful Africa.

Suitability:

Masters: Candidates must meet the following conditions

Maximum age of 30 years for male and 35 years for female applicants Undergraduate degree from a recognized university, with at least a second class upper division or its equivalent, in a relevant field; Certified copies of relevant certificates, transcripts (from university and high school) Passport or National ID card (personal details page) Clear colored passport photo (2cmx2cm)Detail CVRecommendation letter from ONE of his/her former university teachersNames of 3 reference University teachers (with e-mail address and whatsapp number) (*Mandatory)

PhD: Candidates must meet the following requirements:

Maximum age of 35 for male and 40 for female applicants; A master’s degree in a relevant field from PAU or an internationally recognized university; Certified copies of relevant certificates, transcripts Passport or National ID Card (Personal Details page); Clear colored passport size photo (2cmx2cm);Detail CV;Letters of recommendation from 2 Professors;A 3 to 4 page Research Concept Note (provisional title, research questions, objectives, meaning of the research etc…);Names of 3 reference university lecturers (with e e-mail address and whatsapp number); (mandatory); Candidates may be required to take a written/oral exam after the pre-selection. Applicants for the Master in Conference Interpreting and Translation programs must have an excellent knowledge of at least two of the official languages ​​of the African Union (Arabic, English, French and Portuguese).

Selection Criteria: Candidates with potential, motivation and who wish to play transformative leadership roles as academics, professionals, industrialists, innovators and entrepreneurs are particularly encouraged to apply.

Award Value: The African Union Commission will offer full scholarships to the successful African candidates.
