New Incentives is pioneering a growing movement of giving small incentives to caregivers whose babies are being vaccinated, while raising awareness of the health benefits of childhood vaccinations.

Job Title: Field Officers Entry Level Location: Kano State Description;
Non-profit New Incentives is seeking Field Officers to help expand its team committed to preventing infant mortality in Kano State, Nigeria. This message is for contingency purposes only and to identify candidates for future scaling (possibly).
The Field Officers will support the New Incentives program that uses cash transfers to encourage mothers to complete their babies’ vaccination schedule. The program is run in conjunction with the State Primary Healthcare Development Board in Kano State. The primary job in the role is to enroll beneficiaries at public clinics.
Field Officers are hired full-time and work in clinics in Kano State and must already be based/resident in one of the following cities:

In recent years, Nigeria has significantly expanded the availability of infant vaccination services. Despite these supply-side progress, the demand for vaccines remains relatively low.
New Incentives are encouraging mothers to fully vaccinate their babies with cash transfers to ensure their babies are protected from deadly diseases. The money transfers enable the mothers to pay for transportation to the clinic and to make up for lost income.
Key Duties: Enroll beneficiaries at remote public clinics Monitor immunization services at your clinic Communicate with clinic staff and beneficiaries Conduct a high-quality rapid assessment Assist with other tasks associated with the program Please note that this is a hands-on job for hard-working people , committed young candidates. Required Qualifications:
Before applying for New Incentives Entry Level Recruitment, you must possess the following required qualifications;
Fluent in the local languages/dialects spoken in Kano, especially Hausa. In your cover letter, state the names of the languages/dialects you can speak and your fluency for each language. Nigerian citizen already based in Kano State Minimum National Diploma, ideally a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the field of health or other natural sciences Willingness to work a few days a week in remote public clinics and take public transport to achieve them Experience with Nigerian health system and clinic documentation, especially related to infant health and vaccinations Experience in collecting, synthesizing and drawing conclusions from (health) data is desirable Careful attention to financial matters and fund management Detailed, diligent professional Passion to help others and reduce infant mortality Very good communication and writing skills, English, Hausa and dialects (oral and written) Excellent responsiveness to email and phone requests Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel, Internet browsers, smartphones and new communication technology in general Hardworking, result-oriented and loyal Motivation to work in a young organization that is constantly on the move y changes based on feedback from stakeholders and works with a lean structure.

The selection process for this position is competitive. Applications will be continuously assessed. Candidates shortlisted based on their online applications will be required to undergo a series of online tests and interviews that will enable the most qualified individual to be identified in a transparent and meritocratic manner. At the end of the process, candidates are invited for in-person training and the best candidates are offered a job.
Keep in mind that New Incentives aims to spend as much as possible on the beneficiaries and therefore limits the administrative costs. This results in modest but adequate salaries for the staff. Don’t expect salaries that larger international organizations or companies offer.
