Applications must be sent on time on or before the closing date to the correct address as indicated at the bottom of each message (download PDFs above to read more). Applications must be submitted to the application for employment (Z.83) form, available at any department of the public service or on: www.gov.za and must be accompanied by an extensive CV, stating the start and end date (DD/MM/JR) of each employment period to be considered, including the details of at least two contact-related references (this must be people who recently have the applicant worked) together with a certified copy of the highest qualification. Candidates on the shortlist who are invited for interviews, is requested to take all other supporting documentation on the day of the interview. It is the responsibility of applicants who are in possession of foreign qualifications to submit evaluated results by the South African qualifying authority. All candidates on the shortlist for positions at salary level 9 and higher will be subject to a technical assessment that is intended to test relevant technical elements of the job. Mandatory requirement for SMS messages, Nyukela program: pre-entry certificate to senior management services as approved by DPSA, an online course approved by the National School of Government (NSG). All identified candidates at salary level 11 and higher will also undergo a competence assessment that applies transversally to public service. All recommended candidates, regardless of the salary level, are subject to controls on suitability for employment (credit, criminal, citizenship, labor reference and qualification controls).
Please note that if you do not receive a confirmation of receipt/confirmation advice by e-mail, this may mean that your application has not reached the Ministry of the Interior due to the size of the appendices of more than 2.5 MB. If this happens, the Department suggests that you send your application in 2 or 3 parts, whereby you split the appendices accordingly.
