Ladies’ Day returns with an important message

The biggest event on Bond University’s rugby calendar is back at The Canal this Saturday.

The club is organizing its fifth Ladies’ Day on what will be a crucial game for the Bull Sharks.

The Premier League side will be desperate to shock loyal supporters when they host the top of the table Wests.

DonateLife Queensland has returned as a naming rights sponsor and is encouraging attendees to register as an organ donor.

“It’s a great opportunity for us to thank all the women who support the club. It’s about celebrating the women who play rugby for Bond and also the club’s mothers, sisters, friends and partners,” said first-class coach Grant Anderson.

“It’s just a fantastic opportunity to show some recognition for all the hard work they put in on and off the pitch.”

Once again the players will be wearing special jerseys, but the day is about much more than just pink fabric.

“DonateLife Queensland is a great charity and charity. We get so much support from them for our Ladies’ Day, and we answer that by raising money and raising awareness around the charity and the work they do in the community,” Anderson said.

Ladies’ Day runs this Saturday from 12pm-5pm at Bond University Rugby Fields.
