Konga raises alarm about scammers using his brand to scam people

The management of Konga, Nigeria’s largest e-commerce giant, has raised the alarm over the activities of suspected fraudsters who use its brand name to defraud unsuspecting victims. The company warned the public and its customers to remain alert to the antics of these unscrupulous scammers.

The warning comes amid revelations that some individuals have recently been targeted by the scammers.

In particular, Konga claims to have flagged a malicious website – https://kongahome.com/- is used by the fraudsters to scam their victims after artfully tricking them into making payments to a fake merchant account for a job, VIP privileges, or to receive certain benefits. Research also shows that in other cases, the scammers rely on fake letters purportedly from the Philippine National Bank, while also illegally using the Konga logo on some letters to their victims.
