Kenya Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Teacher and Internship September 2021 Recruitment for Unemployed Kenyans

The Kenya Teachers Service Commission has announced 1,995 teacher traineeships to fill the gap left by the teachers who are inducted into the service on permanent and pensionable terms. Of the total vacancies, 1,038 are for primary schools and 957 for secondary schools.

The TSC interns affiliated with primary schools are eligible for a monthly stipend of Ksh 15,000 while those affiliated with secondary schools earn Ksh 20,000 monthly.

Upon successful completion of the internship program, the interns receive a certificate from the employer. The certificate is important because it ensures that the interns stand out when TSC recruits teachers under PnP conditions.

Who is Eligible for Kenya Teachers Service Commission Recruitment?

To be eligible, an applicant must meet the following basic requirements at the time of application.

1. Be a Kenyan citizen.2. Must be a registered teacher with the Teachers Service Commission3. Be in possession of a P1 certificate for primary school teachers and at least a Diploma in Education certificate for secondary school teachers.4. Have original academic and professional certificates.5. Should not have been a permanent teacher in previous employment with the Teachers Service Commission.6. Be ready to be placed at any public educational institution in Kenya.7. Must have personal accident insurance to cover personal risks during the internship period.
