Attend the Kenya Airways Graduate Trainee Training Program and acquire professional and technical skills that will allow the trainee to work effectively in technical services.
Key Responsibilities (KEY Performance Areas):
Attend basic aircraft maintenance courses and pass the required corporate exams. Perform assigned maintenance duties while on confirmation (OJT). Support more experienced technicians in carrying out assignments and projects Spend time shadowing actual aircraft maintenance and support area operations Conduct a group project that supports day-to-day operations -day-to-day operation of engineering and maintenance activities through project management process related to project estimates, risks and opportunities; project issues; and reporting progress/completion Conduct and/or participate in additional activities/events that help build a strong network. Work closely with experienced engineering teams during the training cycle. Acquire skills in a multidisciplinary engineering and maintenance environment, including the use of MRO software. Operational activities of Kenya Airways Flight Operations and Ground Operations departments. Conduct other task-related training from time to time;
Knowledge, skills and experience
Qualification (minimum):
Engineering degree in either aerospace/electrical/electronics/mechanics/mechatronics or a related discipline from a recognized institution Minimum second class honors Ability to work independently and as part of a team Relevant internship and academic project experience Self-directed with the ability to seek out requirements with minimal orientation
Years of experience (minimum):
Minimum 1 year in a busy technical environment
Other abilities:
Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills Good technical report writing skills The ability to work independently with minimal supervision Self-driven individual who can expand his/her skills with on-job training The ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced and deadline driven environmentVery organized and motivated Good analytical and problem-solving skills
