Golf Ireland has presented its team for this summer season’s World College Golf Championships on July 20 and 23 at the Royal Park I Golf Membership, Turin, Italy.
The groups of six embrace gamers from all four provinces. The boys’ workforce includes Ryan Griffin (Ballybofey & Stranorlar, Maynooth College), Allan Hill, and Simon Walker (each member of Roscommon Golf Membership and students from Maynooth College). The women’s groups are Kate Dwyer (Rossmore GC, Maynooth College), Anna Dawson (Tramore GC and College of Arkansas Little Rock), and Clodagh Walsh (Castlewarden GC, Maynooth College). The staff supervisor likely to tour with the Irish staff is Sara Rose Shelly.
19 worldwide golf federations are likely to be represented with 138 participating athletes among the participants. The championship is split into specific individual and personnel competitions, with the workforce Eire hoping to replicate the success of the 2016 version of the competitors in Brive, France when Robin Dawson (brother of Anna Dawson) took gold among the men’s competitors , while the boys’ staff competitors took silver medals in second place overall.
