Xunison aims to be a leading all-in-one broadband delivery and service provider for the telecom and ISP market.
Dublin-based software and hardware supplier Xunison has raised €3.35 million in seed funding to support the next phase of global growth.
The tech start-up brought in Focus Capital in late 2021 to help with financing, shortly after announcing a business partnership with Saudi Arabian telecom provider STC.
Focus director Martin Higgins said interest in the funding round was “significant” and “oversubscribed”.
“We believe that Xunison can become a great global company and that their hardware and software platform capabilities go far beyond anything we’ve seen in the market,” Higgins added.
Founded in 2016, Xunison aims to become a leading all-in-one broadband delivery and in-home service provider for the telecom and ISP market.
The company offers cloud-based management platforms, consumer apps, smart devices and other connected services that can be customized for customers.
It won a gold prize at the National Startup Awards last year in the emerging tech start-up category.
Xunison CEO and co-founder Ryan O’Donovan said the level of seed funding “exceeded our expectations and capacity.”
“We were humbled by the interest shown in this round,” said O’Donovan. “As a result of this funding, Xunison will strengthen our brand presence in 2022 and effectively communicate the organization’s incredible capabilities to a global audience.”
Xunison has expansion plans in multiple markets around the world and aims to attend key trade shows in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.
In Europe, the company plans to expand its sales force to increase its marketing capabilities and plans to sign a contract with five communications service providers over the next two years.
Xunison also plans to strengthen its position in the Middle East following its STC partnership by broadening its local presence and expanding its sales force.
It said it is in talks with leading US telecom companies for potential commercial deals. The start-up has already set up a US office to grow its marketing, sales and customer support activities.
“We are excited to be working to support a highly talented and capable management team and are eager to support them in creating value as they scale internationally,” said Higgins.
