Calling all sports fans! If you’re looking for MLB, NHL, NBA, and MLS games, as well as college sports, PGA golf, Top Rank Boxing, Grand Slam Tennis matches, and sports movies/documentaries, you may be struggling to find a to find the channel. that has all this in the UK.
ESPN+ is the official streaming service for ESPN, but unfortunately is only available in the US. However, if you have the right software, you can bypass the blocks and catch up with your favorite sport in no time.
This is the same method you can use to access all sorts of other US streaming services, including Netflix US, The CW, HBO, and The Criterion Channel. We’ll start with a caveat, though: this violates ESPN’s terms of service, so proceed at your own risk.
You can also see if it is possible to sign up for another premium sports streaming service, DAZN.
How to watch ESPN+ in the UK
You can find all the sports programming available on the ESPN+ website, but you’ll need to sign up for a subscription – more on that later. However, if you try to access the site from your normal UK browser, you will find that the content is blocked. So before you do that, get a VPN.
Using a VPN will redirect your IP address, allowing you to browse the web as if you were in another country. Once you connect to a US server, you should be able to sign up for an account on ESPN+.
Our recommended VPN of choice is NordVPN, because it offers more than 3000 servers and has some of the most affordable prices. Another good choice is surf shark. If you want to see what else is out there, check out our ranking of the different VPNs.
If you don’t want to pay for this service, we do have a list of free VPNs available. However, the free versions come with limited server options, data caps, and slower speeds, which will make your user experience a lot less friendly. Paid VPNs also have the added bonus of not storing your data, so it will be a lot safer to use.
When you get to the payment information, you can use a UK card and any US zip code. I successfully signed up for ESPN+ with a UK debit card and NordVPN. You can cancel at any time and stream until the end of your next billing period.
How much does ESPN+ cost?
ESPN+ is a premium service, so if you want to access it, you have to pay a subscription fee. If you just want to go for this service, you can choose from one of two options. Either $6.99 per month, or alternatively $69.99 per year, depending on how much of a commitment you want to make.
Now’s the time to hold on to that annual price, as starting August 23, it jumps to $9.99 per month and $99.99 per year.
It’s worth noting that Disney has a streaming service bundle that includes Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+. This bundle costs $13.99 per month – so you essentially get one of these services for free. This price will not increase, so it is a more competitive offer than the standalone ESPN+ subscription.
Disney+ gives you access to shows like The Mandalorian, a live-action Star Wars series, all new Marvel series like Ms. Marvel and a whole host of Disney classics. Meanwhile, Hulu gives you access to shows like The Handmaid’s Tale and Castle Rock, so you get a lot for your dollar. If you just want to watch Hulu, check out how to watch Hulu in the UK.
