Government Of Ireland International Education Scholarships 2022 For Study In Ireland

Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships 2022 for Study in Ireland. The Higher Education Authority (HEA) is pleased to issue the 2022 call under the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships Programme. Under the initiative, 60 scholarships will be provided for one year of study at Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD level to successful candidates offered a place at an eligible Irish higher education institution.

The aim of the GOI-IES 2022 scheme is to reflect Ireland’s involvement in the target partner countries. The scheme is implemented in higher education and is funded in collaboration between the government and higher education institutions (HEIs).

Scholarships will be branded as prestigious awards that reflect key messages about Ireland as a center of international education. It is expected that for each scholarship winner, awareness of Ireland will be raised among many more potential students.

The offer is open to students from non-EU/EEA countries and applies to all fields of study.

Students who have successfully received:

A stipend of €10,000 for a year of study. Full waiver of tuition fees and other enrollment fees at the higher education institution

Benefits

The HEA grants the student (via the HEI where the student is studying) a scholarship fund of € 10,000 for one academic year. This fund is intended to cover student and living expenses. The scholarship can be for:
▪ the last year of a bachelor’s degree;
▪ one year of a taught master’s program or;
▪ one-year research program (for example, one year of 2-year research master’s degree or 3-4-year PhD programme).

➢ The scholarship grant will be transferred to the successful student’s host higher education institution (HOI) in one payment of €10,000. The HEI will then set up a system to transfer the funds to the winner of the scholarship.
➢ The HEI must grant the student a FULL fee waiver for the scholarship year (ie waiver of tuition and registration fees). This is the minimum funding requirement that institutions must set for the scholarship scheme

➢ A total of 60 scholarships are expected to be funded by the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships for the academic year 2022/2023.

Candidate Profile
➢ Possess excellence (academic, personal, professional, creative);
➢ Excellent communication skills;
➢ Additional curriculum activities (for example: humanitarian work; political local, national, international; arts; sports);
➢ Have a strong rationale for continuing their studies in Ireland indicating how a GOI-IES fits into their long-term goals.
