The intra-African academic mobility scheme was set up under the Pan-African Program (Development Cooperation Instrument) and is based on the experience of the academic mobility scheme within the ACP countries.
The aim of the program is to improve the skills and competences of students and staff through increased mobility between African countries. The specific objective is to implement masters, doctoral and staff mobility through a strong graduate research and study program (GRSP) on food, energy and water security (FEWS) with a range of academic programs offered at the partner institutions.

Who can apply?
Nationals and/residents of African countries who are staff, alumni and/or students who at the time of application are enrolled in one of the partner universities or who have obtained a qualification from one of the universities involved in the partnership.
Female candidates are warmly encouraged to apply!

What is the benefit of a scholarship?
The scholarship package includes the following:
Travel and visa costs
• One (1) round trip flight according to travel classes
• Visa costs related to mobility
Monthly fee
• Masters: ¤600 and Doctorates: ¤900
• One month equivalent establishment fee
• One month extra allowance for female candidates
Insurance costs (medical, travel, accident)
• 75 maximum per month
Degree search:
Longer mobilities (master’s or doctorate) registered with a host
University for a degree.
Find credit:
Shorter mobilities (master’s or doctorate), registered at home
University that would enroll at the host university to collect credits
towards the registered degree.
