Felix Trust Masters Scholarship: Thanks to the generosity of the Felix Scholarship Trust, one Felix Scholarship will be available to a developing country national with a first-class undergraduate degree to pursue a Taught Masters program for entry in September 2022.

About Felix Trust Masters Scholarship: This scholarship is mainly for candidates who are nationals of Sub-Saharan African countries residing in their country of origin.

Suitability:

Felix Trust Masters Scholarship Applicants must be a national of a developing country and not currently reside or study outside their country. This scholarship is mainly for candidates who are nationals of Afghanistan, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Palestinian Territories (West Bank and Gaza) residing in their country of origin. Applicants must not have previously studied outside their country for a year or more. Applicants must have a first-class undergraduate degree from a university or similar institution. Candidates who already hold a master’s degree cannot apply for a master’s scholarship. Candidates must demonstrate financial need. Graduates are expected to return to work in their home country. Candidates must have submitted a complete application for admission before the scholarship closing date of 3:00 PM (GMT) on January 28, 2022. Candidates must have an offer of admission by the time the shortlist occurs on February 14, 2022. We can give priority to applicants with an unconditional offer of admission. Applicants must meet the English language requirement of their admission offer to study at SOAS as soon as possible, but no later than June 1, 2021. If your offer is dependent on English, arrange your English test and make sure you meet the English requirements as soon as possible. Keep in mind that most exchanges don’t cover funding or even allow pre-sessions. Please check the wording of your scholarship offer carefully to see if you qualify for a pre-session course or if you need to achieve SOAS direct entry scores by the deadline specified in your scholarship terms and conditions.

Selection of Felix Trust Masters Scholarship Candidates:

Candidates are judged on academic merit by an advisory panel composed of three academic members. Financial need is also relevant. The assessment of your application is based on the information provided in your scholarship application and in your online application for admission. Selectors will look at diploma results as well as academic references, statements and other relevant information. Only those accepted for admission will be eligible to be shortlisted by the SOAS selection panel.

Value of Felix Trust Masters Scholarship: The Felix Scholarship covers the full cost of tuition; cost of living and a return flight.

How to Apply for Felix Trust Masters Scholarship: You need to follow two steps:

STEP 1: Request your program
Applicants must submit a COMPLETE online application for admission. Applicants must have submitted full admission to a Masters program at SOAS by the scholarship application deadline, January 28, 2022. A full admission application will include transcripts, an explanation of the grading system for each degree obtained outside the UK, two references, CV, and a personal statement. The panel will consider your scholarship application TOGETHER with your online application for admission. Please note that it can take up to 4 weeks for the complete application for admission to be processed by the department, although this duration may vary depending on the time of year. You must be prepared to wait up to 6 weeks during busy periods.

STEP 2: Apply for the scholarship
You must apply for this scholarship through the online Felix Application Form for Non-Indian Scholarships. Please submit by 3:00 PM (GMT) on January 28, 2022.
