realme just announced the world’s first 100W – 200W charging architecture for smart devices – UltraDart Charging Architecture (UDCA), which provides a comprehensive solution for speed, security and battery life.
The first device to benefit from UDCA. will be the realme GT NEO3 which realme says will be the world’s fastest charging smartphone promising a 50% battery charge in 5 minutes with 150W charge, reaching a full charge in about 35 minutes.
We don’t know much about the incoming GT NEO3, but based on last year’s model, the NEO2, which has a fast, slow 65-watt charge, a 6.62-inch AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset with a 64 mp triple rear camera setup. The NEO3 should be an interesting device to watch and hopefully we’ll get our hands on it.
Back to UltraDart charging, realme says…
UDCA offers the world faster charging speeds. In particular, UDCA’s Ultra Fast Charging uses Multi Boost Charge Pumps to increase the charging current, allowing the smartphone to be charged faster. In addition to speed, UDCA also offers excellent performance in terms of safety and battery life.
In terms of safety, UDCA helps the smartphone to always keep the temperature at an ideal level during charging. This is because realme’s UDCA has an essential Ultra Heat Management built using a temperature management algorithm to keep the thermal temperature below 43°C. It allows users to play games or watch videos for a long time without any potential security risks.
More importantly, UDCA also gives smartphones reliable Ultra Battery Protection. In general, the fast charging speed for other fast charging technologies on the market often comes at the expense of battery life. However, Realme’s UDCA adopts industry-leading lithium batteries to maintain 80% battery capacity at 1000+ full charge cycles. This ensures that the battery has a longer life with a higher maximum charge.
