Ministry of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development Bursary Awards

The Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD) plans to award comprehensive scholarships for the 2023 academic year to eligible applicants pursuing their studies and/or planning to continue their studies in identified careers in the sector agriculture, land reform and rural development. The scholarship covers tuition, housing, books, meals and monthly stipend. The grants are aimed at the previously disadvantaged and impoverished individuals from poverty-stricken and rural communities.

Applicants must be South African citizens. Applicants should complete the relevant scholarship application forms available at the website address: www.dalrrd.gov.za (Click on vacancies). Candidates applying for fields of study not listed above will not be considered. Please note that communication is limited to successful applicants only. If you have not received notification from the Department within 14 days of the publication of the Grade 12 results and after the National Bursary Committee has completed the selection process, consider your application unsuccessful. The Ministry of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development reserves the right to determine the total number of scholarships for the academic year based on the total budget available. Late registration forms will not be considered.
