CITY OF CAPE TOWN EXTERNAL FINANCIAL SCHOLARSHIPS OPEN ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF SOUTH AFRICA

City of Cape Town External financial scholarships are only open to residents of South Africa residing in the Cape metropolis.

DEADLINE: Closes on Friday September 30, 2022. Late entries will not be accepted.

When applying for a scholarship, keep the following important considerations in mind:

External financial scholarships are only open to residents of South Africa, residing in the Cape Metropolitan Area. Prospective applicants must not be in possession of any other form of financial aid (eg National Student Financial Aid Scheme). You must provide a certified copy of your ID (not older than three months) If you are a Grade 12 student you must provide a copy of your Grade 12 / semi-annual results a full-time student at a recognized tertiary institution, you must provide copies of your first -, second and/or third year academic transcript. Your degree must be in the predetermined field and advertised by the city as being a scarce skill.Proof of Financial Status (Affidavit of Parent or Guardian Paychecks or Social Security Benefits) Submitted applications will not be confirmed in writing and copies of supporting documents will not be returned.

Use the following guide when applying.

Step 1: Download an application form or pick up one from your nearest city ​​library or from the following city facilities:

Step 2: After completing the form, submit it along with all supporting documentation to any of the above facilities or email it to external.financialsupport@capetown.gov.za.

Supporting documentation, including:

a letter of registration or provisional letter of acceptance from your recognized tertiary institution if you have enrolled, attach a copy of your matric certificate to a certified copy of your Grade 12 results all recommendations from teachers, mentors and peers and certificates you have won contact details from two people who can be called as references a certified copy of your identity document and that of your parent/guardian proof of residence payslip/certified proof of government subsidy (if applicable) all work you have already done in the field in which you are planning to study
