New Delhi: Samsung’s foldable Galaxy Flip4 will cost rupees 90,000 in India and the Galaxy Fold4 will cost 1.55 rupees in the country, reliable industry sources said Monday, IANS news agency reported. Sources told IANS that this year’s price increase, compared to the previous year’s folding models, is due to rupee-dollar currency fluctuations and global market factors. However, Samsung has absorbed the maximum impact of the currency movements to offer Indian consumers the best prices, industry sources added. Last year, Galaxy Flip 3 5G (8+128GB) launched for Rs 84,999 and Galaxy Fold3 5G (12+256GB) for Rs 149,999. The new foldables will be launched in India on August 16, 2022. Users can pre-book their devices on the website via a live commerce event starting at 12 noon. Consumers who pre-order the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 through a live commerce event can reap benefits worth Rs 40,000, the company said in a previous statement.

In addition, consumers will also receive a gift worth Rs 5,199 upon pre-booking. “As part of the live commerce, the special Bespoke Edition for Galaxy Z Flip4 and the 1TB storage variant of Galaxy Z Fold4 will also be available on Samsung Live,” the company added. The live commerce special offers are valid until August 17.
