The Central Bank of Kenya is inviting applications for its six-month internship program. Currently there are opportunities in the following positions; Finance, research, banking and payment services, human resources, communications and legal services.
The goal of Central Bank of Kenya Internship Program is to develop and prepare young talent for employment in the Kenyan banking and financial sector. The internship program also provides participants with an excellent opportunity to gain work experience, expand knowledge, refine career goals and build professional networks, including mentors and valuable contacts.

a) A first degree from a recognized university in one of the following disciplines: finance, economics, statistics, banking, accounting, microfinance, management or social sciences, law or a related discipline or a master’s degree in a relevant field;
b) Kenyan between 21 and 29 years of age;
c) Must have graduated within the last 24 months from the closing date of the advertisement and/or pending graduation;
d) Applicants must provide a letter of recommendation/reference from the university attended; and
e) Must not have undergone any other internship program or have been exposed to work experience related to their field of study since graduation.

a) The Bank WILL NOT offer employment upon completion of the internship program. However, applicants
those who successfully complete the program are allowed to apply for all positions advertised by the bank afterward
completion of the internship program.
b) Successful candidates must complete the six (6) month internship program without interruption to
take full advantage of the objectives of the programme.
