With strong regional ties to industry, the program equips students with in-demand skills and competencies in a dynamic field. [email protected] offers a 2-year Master in Embedded and Mobile Systems tailored to the needs of the private and public sector in East Africa. The master includes elements such as an internship, an applied master’s thesis, Summer Schools, guest lecturers from the private and public sectors, as well as Entrepreneurial and Soft Skills training. This enables the students to develop and market digital solutions, which are crucial for the transformation of industries and the development of the region.
The EMoS program is structured in academic modules with distinctive and integrative courses of high educational and practical content that respond to local and regional development needs and challenges. The program includes a variety of courses and focuses on four main topics, which are highly relevant to current industrial problems: mobile computing, embedded systems, soft skills and basic skills. The main academic goal of this program is to strengthen teaching and research in embedded and mobile systems in the EAC. The program is demand-driven with industrial linkage to strengthen the entrepreneurial skills and employability of graduates in this field. Working closely with EA industries provides new opportunities for graduates as their skills are directly aligned with the needs of the region.

The call is aimed at graduates with a first academic degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) related to embedded and mobile systems, as well as professionals already working in academia or in the private and public sectors. The [email protected] The main aim of the project is to strengthen the role of women in STEM-related domains and the ICT sector. Female graduates are therefore especially encouraged to apply.

[email protected] supports students in the EMoS master’s program with comprehensive scholarships. These include tuition fees applied at NM-AIST, a monthly stipend, housing allowance, financial support for research writings, and printing costs. Only students who have been admitted to the EMoS program and who can apply for scholarships here are eligible.

Interested students can apply for admission into the master’s program in Embedded and Mobile Systems through the NM-AIST Online Admission System. The admission process is completely handled by NM-AIST.
Only students who have been admitted to the EMoS program and who can apply for scholarships below are eligible.
