Activities Development Manager (Maternity leave cover)

Salary: £34,304 per year including pension, 41 days of annual leave entitlement and discounted membership to Aberdeen Sports Village.
Contract: Fixed Term, One Year
Hours: Full-time, 36.5 hours per week
Located: Aberdeen

AUSA is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated candidate for the role of Activities Development Manager to bridge a period of maternity leave. With the ability to oversee a team dedicated to supporting student activities at the University of Aberdeen, this role would be ideally suited to someone with experience in a similar environment or someone who is ready to take the next step in their career. career. This position is for a fixed period of one year and offers excellent opportunities for continuous development.
Reporting to the CEO, the Activity Development Manager manages and oversees a high-quality program of student activities and events with the aim of maximizing engagement, participation and satisfaction among the student population. The job holder provides the management and strategic oversight of the activity team and associated areas of responsibility, line manager team members with a range of responsibilities. The Activities Development Manager will forge strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, and represent AUSA at a series of meetings and university committees. The successful candidate will also work to support the AUSA Sabbatical Officers (primarily the Vice President for Activities) in conducting activities and events and their day-to-day duties. Applicants must be an enthusiastic, dynamic, motivated leader with excellent communication skills and experience in sports/events, human resources management and data/budgeting responsibilities. Experience in higher education and working with students/young people is desirable.
