Job Title: Program Coordinator, Global Organizing Leadership Development Program (GOLD) Location: Abuja Job Descriptions; The program coordinator directs the reinforcement and support of movements. She/he will contribute to the co-creation and implementation of a leadership program for activists, human rights defenders and leaders of social movements, together with a global team of colleagues in other performing countries. She/he will also serve as an interface between social movements, ActionAid Nigeria and the Global Entity and GOLD program partners.

Personal specifications:

Education Qualifications; First degree in social sciences or arts/humanities/law is essential Master’s degree in a relevant field is desirable Experience; At least seven (7) years post NYSC experience, four of which in a similar position, with particular emphasis on social forum and civil society movement building space is essential Project management experience is essential Experience in activism and good knowledge of the past , current and emerging social movement landscape of Nigeria and neighboring countries is essential Experience working with youth, coalitions, networks and movement is desirable Skills/skills; Background in community organizing and direct action and connections with social movements on the African continent Conducting and facilitating physical and online capacity building activities (training, workshops, webinars etc.), doing post-training assessments for better impact Ability to Determining clear results for capacity activities, assessing and collecting needs and expectations of movements is a plus. Strong communication and writing skills Excellent skills to motivate and inspire a functional team are essential. Strong analytical/problem solving skills. Multitasking and negotiation skills Excellent planning and prioritization skills

Job Title: Impact Assessment and Shared Learning (IASL) Manager Location: Abuja Job Descriptions; The position holder will be part of the Country Management Team. She/he leads and coordinates the operationalization of effective and appropriate systems and processes for planning, measuring progress and impact, learning and reporting across the organization. She/he will also lead the fulfillment of Accountability, Learning and Planning System (ALPS) requirements at all levels.

Personal specifications:

Education Qualifications; First degree in social sciences or arts/humanities is essential Masters in a related field is essential Membership of a relevant professional institute is desirable Experience; A minimum of 8 years of work experience, 5 of which in a similar role in development is essential Excellent quantitative and qualitative monitoring and evaluation skills and familiarity with the range of approaches and methods currently used in the development sector is essential Experience in programming and monitoring the approach, including working with partners and social movements is essential Experience in campaign design and monitoring is essential Deep understanding and commitment to human rights based approaches, including women’s rights, with knowledge of methodologies effective in monitoring and evaluation is desirable. Skills/skills; Strong writing skills Strong analytical/problem solving skills. Ability to influence and encourage others to develop new concepts and ways of working in an environment of change Excellent planning and prioritization skills Excellent policy analysis and interpretation skills

Experience of an accountancy firm is desirable Experience of working with different cultures and nationalities is desirable. The Communications Coordinator reporting to the Director, Organizational Effectiveness, will lead the Communications Hub and be responsible for the development and implementation of ActionAid Nigeria (AAN) Communication Strategy; including planning and managing public affairs/relationships and publicity to influence and inform AAN stakeholders, employees, partners and donors.

Experience as a media contact person for an organisation/department is desirable. Experience as a reporter, sub-editor or proofreader is desirable. Familiarity with the popular media sector and a previous relationship with it is desirable. Skills/skills; Online i.e. website management and digital communication Understanding the role of advocacy and communication in development Strong communication and writing skills Ability to provide practical solutions within set deadlines Multitasking skills Public speaking Excellent planning and prioritization skills Strong interpersonal skills
