Regarding the Award: The Worldwide Breweries Basis is a division of Worldwide Breweries Plc (a proud part of the AB InBev Group) with the intent to perform high impact, development and sustainability tasks. Kickstart is an initiative of the Basis and focuses on expanding and improving businesses for younger entrepreneurs. This system helps younger companies through coaching, access to capital (scholarships) and mentorship.

Kickstart is also available in several countries in Africa, as an initiative of the Africa Zone of the AB InBev Group. This system has so far been efficiently applied in South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland and Tanzania. In Nigeria, this system was launched in 2016 and has had three editions in the Southwest and Southeast. As of 2019, Kickstart has evolved into a nationwide intervention in Nigeria, now open to young people within the country’s six geopolitical zones.

The KickStart program is a competition for budding entrepreneurs and innovators between the ages of 18 and 35 that gives them coaching in business expertise, improvement assistance, mentorship and the opportunity to get away with a grant fund. The last goal of this system is to build a younger prosperous society by making a tradition of entrepreneurship among the many young people, thereby decreasing youth unemployment for natives in the Southwest. The KickStart program is a pivotal initiative that can transform the lives of younger people in space and increase the Southwest’s financial prosperity.

Suitability:

  • Entrants are ONLY open to Southwesterners ages 18 to 35 who live or have their businesses in the Southwest.
  • Candidates must be a minimum of 18 and a maximum of 35 years of age with a legitimate form of identification (e.g. National ID Card; Driver’s License; Global Passport; Voter Registration and many others.) on the last day of the application period.
  • She or he must be willing to run the business full time.
  • Have a revolutionary business concept that wants a seed capital.
  • Or you already have a current small business that wants capital to grow its business.
  • Energetic and enterprising in working method.
  • Must be able to learn and write.

Choice standards: Many top-notch submissions are chosen by a team of skilled judges based primarily on the benefit and high quality of their corporate case. Each species is scored on the ‘screening sheet’. The sheet may be used to rate and rank all utility types submitted, the rating obtained from the entry may be quoted by the judges to ensure alignment and customary ratings. For the legibility of objective and fairness for all candidates, the screening sheet is an inner document. Scores are usually not shared externally.

Value of competitors: During the big occasion, the winners can be introduced and presented with their prizes. Will likely be a high profile occasion with the presence of presidential officials and business people.

Length of the participants: Profitable candidates will then receive intensive business coaching for one (1) week.

At the end of the coaching, candidates can be given one month to write down the ultimate aggressive marketing strategy that can be submitted individually at the headquarters in Ilesha, Osun State.
