The Department of Education has announced 1,000 job openings under the Digital Literacy Program (DLT). The interns will support digital learning in public schools across the country. Check out all the details below;
Specific duties and responsibilities will be:
Support e-Learning and content development in line with work schedules Provide classroom support and training of primary school teachers in the use of digital literacy equipment Support the implementation of the Digital Learning program Implement innovations to enable schools to use digital learning to improve. Provide support for safe, secure and ethical use of technology in learning Assist teachers by integrating ICT into teaching, learning and assessment Support school staff in the development and production of key school policies and procedures Provide frontline support and maintenance of ICT services in the schools

Who can apply?
For appointment, an applicant must possess:-
Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Education with specialization in Information Communication Technology or a Bachelor’s degree in ICT from a recognized institution or its equivalent. Graduated in the last four years from the date of this advertisement Knowledge in Networks and Infrastructure, Application Development, Information Security and project management Ability to integrate ICT with e-learning and content development education. Skills required to conduct research and innovation in support of the digital literacy programme. Must be ready to be employed full-time at a Sub County Education Office.

What is the benefit of a scholarship?

The interns receive a stipend at a rate as determined by the Public Service Commission.
Certificate
Upon successful completion of the Internship Programme, the interns will receive a certificate.
How long does the program last?
Twelve (12) months- Non-renewable
